HP already has a large collection of display solutions, but this did not stop it from announcing seven more, all of them set to start shipping either this or next month.

Coming to offer something to professionals, business users and the digital signage segment, HP built some new displays.

The ones for digital signage are two in number and go by the names of LD4220tm and LD4720tm and will arrive in October, 2011.

As the names imply, their screen sizes are of 42 inches and 47 inches, respectively.

The models also have a Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) and multiple connectors each (HDMI/DVI, D-Sub and DisplayPort).

The third item that HP has in store, and which will come forth sooner (September 19), is the business-oriented Compaq LE2202x, also a Full HD, LED-backlit item.

Its screen diagonal is of 21.5 inches and there is no mercury and arsenic used in its making, nor BFR/PVC.

The other four displays are IPS monitors named ZR2740w, ZR2440w, ZR2240w and ZR2040w (27, 24, 21.5 and 20 inches, respectively).

Featuring LED and 'industrial' design, they will all arrive in October, when they will sell for $729, $425, $289 and $189, respectively

They have DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) of up to 2,000,000:1, plus native resolutions of 1,600 x 900 to 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.

Furthermore, all but the ZR2740w are Energy Star 5.0-rated, though the 27-incher has its own advantage in the form of the HP Direct Drive Architecture (ensures highest possible color value).

“Design, animation and gaming professionals push the limits of display technology every day simply to do their jobs – and HP has met their needs with a wider range of solutions than ever before,” said Jun Kim, vice president and general manager, Display Business Unit, HP.

“HP offers customers robust displays and innovative, interactive digital signage products that are the new face of retail and hospitality.”
