The G60 line of notebook PCs from HP is definitely not the highest level of mobile computing that the company can offer, as product families like the HP Envy line completely outmatch the laptops in both design and performance. Still, they are suited for intermediate users, as they boast reasonable computing and multimedia capabilities. The latest in the series is the G62t, an Intel Core i3-powered 15.6-inch device that has a touch of design sophistication.
The notebook has a matte surface that reduces fingerprints and its high-definition, LED-backlit panel boasts a high picture quality while consuming less power. The 15.6-inch display uses the 16:9 aspect ratio for comfortable HD content playback and the redesigned, full-size keyboard and touchpad make typing and the overall laptop controlling equally comfortable.
As far as specifications are concerned, the notebook PC comes, by default, with an Intel Core i3 processor, but may be designed with i5 or i7 chips as well. The memory capacity is of 2-3GB, with a choice to upgrade to 4GB, and the storage capacity may be of 160GB to 500GB. The 15.6-inch screen has a maximum resolution of 1366 x 768. In addition, the laptop boasts a SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support, though it can also come with a Blu-ray unit.
Unfortunately, the graphics capabilities will be limited by the availability of only the Intel(R) HD Graphics or Intel(R) HD Graphics with a 5-in-1 integrated Digital Media Reader and HDMI. While this will be sufficient for media content, it excludes most graphical-intensive games.
As far as connectivity goes, the laptop is equipped with a Wireless-N Card or a Wireless-N Card with Bluetooth. The G62t has already been made available and may be acquired though the company's official online store, where it is listed with a starting price of $599.99. website.
