Portable computer systems continue to gain ground in front of traditional desktop PCs, which is a good reason for an increasing number of new systems to be made available on the market. Such is the case with one of HP's latest products, a laptop that has been designed to provide users with the performance specifications of HP's latest Envy 15 notebook, but with the audio quality associated with the latest Beats products. According to the Palo Alto, California-based PC vendor, users will be able to choose an HP Envy 15 Beats limited edition notebook that will come with the integrated Beats Audio.
“When Dre and I got together on Beats, it was about an idea which was to improve the transmission of sound between the record makers and the consumers,” said Jimmy Iovine, chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records and Beats co-founder. “We realized that with the digital revolution, what went terribly wrong was the degradation of sound, which is the heartbeat of music. We found that most PCs downgrade sound to unacceptable levels and when you reduce it further to a limited platform, like an mp3, the music doesn’t stand a chance. If music is an emotion, if it sounds better, then the emotion is better. With HP, we found a partner willing to take the steps to improve the overall sound in the PC and to bring it up to the level that musicians hear in the studio.”
Designed to incorporate the latest Intel Core i7 processors for notebook PCs, the new ENVY 15 laptop can be configured with up to 16GB of DDR3 1066Mhz full system memory and two solid state drives in RAID-0 configuration. The laptop has also been featured with AMD's ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4839 graphics chip, with 1GB of dedicated memory.
The ENVY 15 Beats limited edition notebook PC comes with a sleek, piano black high-gloss finish and the signature Beats design. In addition, the laptop also featured high-performance Beasts Audio solution and software, to provide users with a high-quality audio experience even when on the road. Before you set your hopes too high, remember that this machine is considerably pricey, rated at US$2,299, and is due out following October 22, after the launch of Microsoft's Windows 7 operating system.
