HP Designjet T2300 Printer to Come Bundled With Autodesk

Although I am not sure how many of you noticed, about two months ago HP introduced a new professional multifunction printer, dubbed the HP Designjet T2300, that came with an interesting ePrint & Share collaborative printing and sharing solution, the company just announcing this printer will now come bundled with Autodesk software as well as a special Autodesk ePrint & Share plug-in.

Designed to cater to professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction industries, the HP Designjet T2300 large-format printer boasts some pretty interesting specifications, such as the ability to support simultaneous copy and scan functions.

But the most important feature that HP introduced with this large-format printer was the ePrint & Share platform, that enabled its users to directly scan project files to the cloud, quickly print and access plans from the road or share designs with remote project teams, all from the printer's touchscreen.

However, with the addition of the new Autodesk software users will be able to print directly from AutoCAD thanks to the new ePrint & Share plug-in, the bundle also featuring the AutoCAD Raster Design application that allows for full scanning and vectorization of sketches, printed plans or blueprints.

"In September, HP announced a breakthrough in the way design professionals can collaborate and share information through its ePrint & Share platform and the new HP Designjet T2300 eMFP," said Santiago Morera, vice president and general manager, HP Designjet Large-Format Solutions.

"Today, HP is making this innovative solution available to allow technical design professionals to reduce review cycles and unleash their creativity," concluded Mr. Morera.

According to the company, the Autodesk software will be bundled together with every HP Designjet T2300 eMFP, customers also getting a 30-day trial version of Softcover International's Scan2CAD software.

Furthermore, customers who have purchased an HP Designjet T2300 eMFP will also be entitled to a significant discount on Scan2CAD software, version 8, HP added.
