HP's new monitor isn't one of those new, Full HD panels, but chooses, instead, to settle for a lower resolution (1,600 x 900 pixels).
The widescreen display bears the name of Compaq LE2002xm and has a diagonal of 20 inches.
By now, users familiar with HP's product line and naming schemes will have guessed that this is not a consumer product but a business-oriented one.
As far as the specifications go, the response time is of 5ms, the brightness of 250 cd/m2 and the contrast ratio of 1,000:1 (dynamic contrast ratio is 3,000,000:1).
Furthermore, the panel comes with its own, built-in stereo speakers, plus DVI and D-Sub video inputs.
Next week, at the start of January, 2012, is when sales begin, for the price of $155.
That's about 120 Euro, according to exchange rates.
