It looks like hybrid laptop/tablets will see an increase in appearance this year, as more and more PC manufacturers turn to this design factor. Bearing this in mind, HP just rolled out a couple of new detachable tablets called Pavilion 11 x2 and Pavilion 13 x2.

The two convertibles are aimed at the budget consumer, who still wants to enjoy the mobility brought along by such devices.

Instead of the aluminum finish we saw with the HP Spectre x2 hybrid, the two 11-inch and 13-inch gadgets are coated with a much more affordable polycarbonate wrapping.

In terms of specs, the 11-inch version offers a more traditional approach. The Pavilion 11x2 features an Intel Bay Trail processor and even if this is no Haswell, it's still pretty amazing as it doesn't require a fan for cooling.

With a display featuring a resolution of 1366 x768 pixel density, the Pavilion 11 offers a choice between 2GB or 4GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB SSD.

Pavilion 11 comes in three attractive colors: Pearl White, Flyer Red and Sparkling Black.

The Pavilion 13 x2 features a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. What's interesting here is that customers can opt here between an AMD A6 processor or an Intel Haswell chip. An optional 500GB hard drive is also available.

The Pavilion line will become available in America starting November 16. Price wise, interested parties can grab each hybrid starting from the $599 / €442 base line, which will increase depending on the chosen specifications.
