The HP 810 EliteBook Revolve convertible was introduced back in March, but now the company has announced it was rolling out a nice upgraded version.

And those of you who happen to be in Barcelona this week, the company will be present at an event, so you might want to drop by for a visit at the HP stand and check out the revamped version yourself

The exterior of the hybrid hasn't been changed much and we can spot the same magnesium casing, with the mention that its overall size has been slimmed down a little bit.

So now we have a 22.2 mm / 0.87 inches and 1.4 kg / 3 lbs device, which is hardly one of the trimmest slates we have seen on the market, but is still decent. Nevertheless, the design itself remains beautiful and the convertible is quite a looker.

The HP 810 EliteBook Revolve G2 is trying to answer the current standard dilemma, should customers choose a tablet for fun or a notebook for work? HP says, why not have both? The convertible can easily be used in both laptop and tablet mode (achieved by folding the keyboard) even by demanding business professionals.

The screen is also capable of pivoting so users who need the notebook for presentations at the office, can get the annoying keyboard out of the way, effortlessly.

In the processor department, choice is quite varied with customers being able to opt between 4th-gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors from the Haswell family, which represents the latest standard in chip architecture.

Windows 8.1 is offered as the default operating system on board. Users can go for an LTE variant, as well. One downside that didn't get by unnoticed is the 11.6-inch display with its average resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels.

The EliteBook Revolve sports some rugged features, like the Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen, and is pretty hard to damage (it’s MIL-STD 810G certified). The backlit keyboard is also spill-resistant.

HP has thought about security as well, so it provides the HP Sure Start HP Client Security and HP Trust Circles, to make sure business data is kept out of harm’s way.

The upgraded HP 810 EliteBook Revolve G2 will become available December 20 for $1,364 / €991 a pop.
