HIS announced today the launch of another graphics card based on the AMD/ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro GPU which is aimed somewhere between the middle end and high level market segments because, while the graphics chip that powers it is better suited for middle level applications, its fast clock settings are approaching those typically found only in high end products.

Apart from the high graphics core and memory speeds, the new HIS Radeon HD 2600 Pro Turbo X graphics card is coming with the innovative IceQ cooling solution,
the strongest and the highest performing air based cooling technology that can be currently found implemented on a general consumer graphics card. Thanks to its special design features, the HIS IceQ draws air from the inside of the computer case and blows the hot air out of the case which results in a two fold advantage as the graphics card is running much cooler and the overall temperature inside the computer case is lowered.

In order to provide users with a high level of performance even in the latest 3D games, the HIS Radeon HD 2600Pro IceQ Turbo X series of products is coming overclocked from the factory via tweaked and enhanced BIOS settings. This allows the graphics core to reach speeds up to 700MHz, while the dedicated video memory is running at 1400MHz, a speed setting that is above the usual GDDR3 standard memories.

As the entire Radeon HD 2000 family of products offers hardware compatibility with the latest technical specifications of the DirectX 10.0 API and thanks to the ability to process at the hardware level HD and HDCP video streams, the new HIS graphics card offers extreme graphics performance and increased and up to date multimedia playback features.

This new card is fully compliant with the latest Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and its performance can be greatly increased for gaming sessions as it can be scaled to support the patented AMD/ATI CrossFire technology. The CrossFire integrated support makes this graphics card very valuable on the mainstream performance market as it is easily fitted into a multi card setup and its integrated 5.1 surround sound chip over HDMI is very appreciated by tech savvy gamers. The ATI Catalyst driver and control panel that comes with this new HIS designed and manufactured card is certified to work with Vista and it allows users to easily setup graphics, video, and multiple displays.
