The tablet can be purchased for $220/€165 outright

Indian company HCL has just announced a new affordable tablet with support for GSM voice communication, the Me Y3.

Aside from the fact that users will be able to take calls, the tablet also offers dual-SIM capability.

The HCL Me Y3 is now available for purchase in India via authorized resellers for only Rs 11,999 ($220/€165). Check it out here.

According to AndroidOS, the slate sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1024 x 600 pixels resolution, a 2-megapixel rear camera and VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

The Me Y3 supports 3G connectivity and packs 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

It is also worth mentioning that the HCL Me Y3 ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.
