After “Hitchcock blonde” Tippi Hedren wrapped “The Birds” and parted ways with the cult director, she spoke about their unsettling and tense relationship. Her story has inspired the latest HBO film, “The Girl.”

Starring Toby Jones as Hitchcock and Sienna Miller as Tippi, the film aims to work on real life Tippi’s recollection to present a side of the director that not many had access to.

As such, we’re probably not to expect a very favorable portrait of Hitchcock, which is also quite obvious from the trailer as well. Check it out above.

Imelda Staunton stars as Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville. The film is directed by Julian Jarrold on a script by Gwyneth Hughes and will premiere on HBO on October 20, at 9 p.m.
