Azuki Systems’ Wireless solution has been confirmed as the chosen platform to manage and unify end-to-end workflow for preparing, protecting, and packaging HBO GO content to iPhones, iPads, the company announced today.

A fledging company founded just three years back, Azuki provides an end-to-end solution that delivers rich, protected content to any device over any network, according to the company’s about-us.

Its services reportedly allow content owners like HBO to capitalize on the explosive growth of portable devices such as the booming Apple iPad whose 10-inch screen is used to devour video, as Softpedia reported yesterday citing a FreeWheel study.

The company’s Wireless Platform enables the combination of over-the-top delivery with the highest quality experience, content protection, scale and reliability, according to their marketing materials.

“Expertise and flexibility were key factors in our decision to partner with Azuki for HBO GO,” said Diane Tryneski, SVP, Media & Productions Operations at HBO.

As avid Softpedia readers will recall, HBO introduced a dedicated app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad earlier this month, advertising it as being able to offer “over 1,400 of your favorite HBO shows, including HBO original programming, hit movies, sports, comedy and much more.”

The free app is also backed by Level 3 Communications, who has been recently confirmed as a content delivery network selected by HBO to support their new HBO GO iPad app.

“HBO is synonymous with leadership and high-quality premium programming. As HBO expands into the rapidly growing world of mobile, we’re excited that our partnership with HBO is already producing such strong results,” said John Clancy, president and CEO of Azuki Systems.

“Being selected by HBO to help make this powerful value proposition a reality is a tremendous honor. We are thrilled to be working with HBO and we look forward to building on our strong partnership,” added Clancy.
