Developer Destructive Creations has just kicked off pre-orders for their controversial game HATRED. The game that puts players in the shoes of a psychopath whose sole purpose is to kill innocents is now available for pre-purchase, though not through Steam.

HATRED is now on Greenlight and still awaits Valve’s approval to be listed on Steam, but judging from the game’s initial success, there’s no doubt that it will be approved with the next set of Greenlit games.

Until then though, customers who want to pre-order HATRED can do so via the developer’s website. There are two versions of the game available, the standard version that costs €16.66 and the Limited Edition which comes with a T-Shirt and the standard game.

The game and the T-Shirt cost together €36.66 and will only be available in limited quantity, so those who want a Hatred physical reward should go ahead and make the pre-order. It’s also worth mentioning that those who pre-order HATRED will also receive the soundtrack of the game for free.

An isometric shooter with a non-linear plot

HATRED is an isometric shooter built in Unreal Engine 4 and features 7 free-roam locations where you have to fight law enforcement and gather equipment off those killed.

Your mission is to destroy everything in your path and spread Armageddon upon society. There seems to be a plot as well and developers claim it’s evolving in a non-linear way.

HATRED has been recently rated Adults Only by ESRB, which will make it harder for Destructive Creations to bring it to consoles. This is the second game in the history of gaming that receives the Adults Only after Manhunt.

Along with HATRED pre-orders, a new trailer, more controversial than the first one, has been published. When it comes to launch, developer Destructive Creations has yet to announce a release date, but for the time being it looks like it will be available sometime in Q2 2015.
