Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has repeatedly spoken out on Botox and plastic surgery, saying she was all for aging naturally, but that’s not to say she doesn’t have plenty of aces up her sleeve. One of them is synthetic snake venom.Celebrities are known for resorting to the most unusual and unexpected treatments in their constant struggle to always look their best for the camera.
From the baby-food diet to placenta-based wrinkle creams, they have done it all. Gwyneth, it would seem, is no stranger to odd remedies, since she likes to maintain her smooth skin with snake venom.
A report in the print issue of the National Enquirer (story via
here) claims that the actress was recently spotted coming out of a clinic that is famous for its beauty treatments with synthetic venom.
This can only mean that Paltrow too is using it, the tab assumes.
“My spy witness spotted the star slithering into the Beverly Hills Sonya Dakar Skin Clinic – where sources reveal she underwent her fave anti-aging treatment of UltraLuxe-9 Age Control Complex, which includes synthetic snake venom that tightens and contours the skin,” Enquirer writes.
However, said treatment is very short-lived, especially if compared to Botox, whose effects can last up to several months.
“Gwyneth – famously NOT a Botox user – swears by the shorter-lived, but injection-free quick fix whenever she needs to look camera ready fast!” the tab further writes.
“After her treatment, Gwyneth snapped up several bottles at $185 (€136) a pop. ‘It’s worth every dime,’ she hissed to pals,” says the Enquirer.
Indeed, Gwyneth is very much against Botox and plastic surgery (except perhaps breast surgery after pregnancy and nursing), even though word online has it that she’s dabbed into both at some point in her life.
A short while ago, she was asked if she’d ever consider getting any work done and she said she’d never use “those gimmicks” to satisfy a sense of “pure vanity,” as we
also reported at the time.
