A short while ago, Gwyenth Paltrow was saying that, while she’d love a third child, she knew she was probably too old for motherhood again. In a new interview, the actress opens up about a painful miscarriage, which nearly cost her her life.

Paltrow, who will be seen next in “Iron Man 3,” tells Mail on Sunday’s You magazine that she was pregnant with her third child but she miscarried.

She “nearly died” because of the miscarriage, she says. The heartbreak was also immense, she admits.

“My children ask me to have a baby all the time. And you never know, I could squeeze one more in. I am missing my third. I’m thinking about it,” the actress shares for the publication.

“But I had a really bad experience when I was pregnant with my third. It didn’t work out and I nearly died. So I am like, ‘Are we good here or should we go back and try again?’,” she adds.

As of late, Gwyneth has been spending more time with good friend Beyonce, who recently had her first child, daughter Blue Ivy.

Just being in their company is making Gwyneth wish she’d have another kid, she admits.

“Their baby Blue Ivy is totally delish. She’s made me very broody,” she explains.

On the other hand, Gwyneth is reconciled to the idea that she most likely won’t be having more children, especially with the two she has already so big: Apple is 8 and Mosses is 6.

She loves her family and she’s convinced she could not have picked a better husband and father than Chris Martin in the whole world.

“Regardless of what happens in our marriage, I chose the best father. He is so good to the children, and to know that you had kids with such a good man is like a real weight off you. We are committed co-parents, we make all the decisions together and we lean on each other for support as well,” she says.
