In a sort of “keep your friends close and your enemies closer” kind of attitude, Us Weekly claims that Gwyneth Paltrow is now actively seeking a meeting with Jennifer Lawrence, the woman who landed her ex-husband, Chris Martin, weeks after their divorce.

An insider reveals that “She'd like to spend a little time with her and thinks they'd probably get along.” This is far cry from the news we'd been getting right after the split, that Gwyneth was avoiding Jennifer and that she hated being replaced so soon, not to mention the fact that Jennifer is the complete opposite of Paltrow, which sends a powerful message about what Chris really wanted out of a woman.
So far, he and Gwyneth have managed to remain friendly, living next door to each other, spending time together with the kids and even partying together. But when it came to Lawrence, there was no contact between them. When Martin showed up for Gwyneth's birthday party, he knew to come alone.

Now, reports claim that Paltrow is “fine” with Jennifer, despite the fact that she's recently been involved in a nasty intimate photo leak scandal that many thought was going to ruin her career. But (and there is a but) she would like Chris to wait some more until he introduces Jennifer to their two children.
At the same time, Gwyneth has to deal with a wave of criticism in the media, as well as an ongoing feud with Martha Stewart. The criticism in the press comes from her political views. It seems that not all her neighbors like the fact that she's an Obama supporter and that she's hosting a fund raiser in their neighborhood.
The neighbors have decided to voice their discontent with the fact that Gwyneth is closing down a street near her home to have the event, and have placed mocking posters all over the street, on mailboxes and lamp posts, criticizing the actress by calling her “Obama drone.”
Also, Gwyneth has managed to start a war with Martha Stewart, the domestic goddess, when she stole her chief executive and hired her to run her website Goop. Stewart hit back with some choice words, but Paltrow simply brushed them off.
