She “went all out” for the party, had a blast with the kids

In one of her books, Gwyneth Paltrow made the controversial comment that she would not let her kids eat pasta, bread, or processed grains even though they would be left with “that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs.” Sweets and unhealthy snacks were also out of the question, but the star made an exception a couple of days ago, on Moses’ birthday.

Gwyneth’s son with estranged husband Chris Martin turned 8 and, to celebrate, the actress threw him an outdoor party where, among other treats, kids were served hot dogs and Fritos.

The Oscar-winning actress is very famous for her strict stance on healthy eating, which, in her case at least, involves on doing juice cleanses a few times a year and surviving on fruit, vegetables, and the expensive, occasional, home-made sweet.

One particular report claims that the reason why Martin wanted out of the marriage was her views on dieting and how they affected their 2 children together. Insiders tell the tabs that the Coldplay singer would often get into arguments with Gwyneth over her refusal to let the kids have ice cream every once in a while.

With this in mind, it’s no wonder this new report in Us Weekly is causing such a fuss online: hearing that Gwyneth let Moses and Apple have a hot dog is like suddenly being allowed to come drunk at work, or getting a “cheating pass” in your marriage every other Friday. It’s shocking, to say the least.

“For lunch, the kids and adults enjoyed delightful treats catered by food trucks, including gourmet hotdog vendor Dogtown Dogs and L.A.’s beloved ‘chow truck’ India Jones. Specialties included hot dogs topped with Fritos and Indian street food like samosas, curry, and Indian tacos, the source says,” the report notes.

The party was packed with fun things to do for the 20+ kids invited, including a magician, balloons, and lots of fun games, like hula hoops and balls. A “giant inflatable bounce house in the style of a pirate ship” was also brought in and set up in the backyard, where the party took place.

Gwyneth “went all out,” an insider underlines. At 4 in the afternoon, when guests began to leave, they also took something with them to remember the fun-filled afternoon by: “airbrushed T-shirts, designed at the party, which included each kid’s name and a design of his or her choice.”
