Just because she is getting a divorce from husband Chris Martin, it doesn't mean that Gwyneth Paltrow can't push his buttons anymore. After it was reported that Paltrow was infuriated that Martin had found happiness in the arms of younger and less pretentious star Jennifer Lawrence, Page Six now claims that Paltrow is out for blood.

Her way of getting revenge? Converting to Judaism full time and raising her children with Martin (who is a Christian) in the Jewish faith. Paltrow comes from a long line of Jewish rabbis from her father's side, and she herself has been following the Kabbalah, which stems from Judaism, for years.

Paltrow is only half Jewish, since her mother was a Christian, but she confessed in previous interviews that she was raised in both the Jewish and the Christian faiths and that was “such a nice way to grow up.”

Back in 2011, talking about her Jewish Russian rabbinical heritage, Gwyneth described herself as a “Jewish Princess,” alluding to the fact that her father was a 17th generation rabbi. The fact that Paltrow herself plans to turn to Judaism is no problem in itself.

The problem arises when we learn from insiders that Paltrow plans to raise her children, daughter Apple, 10, and son Moses, 8, “in a Jewish environment.” It's not known if Gwyneth contacted Martin when making this decision or if he had any say in this, but it can be speculated that he wasn't happy that she was cutting all of their children's ties with his religion.

This move can be viewed strictly as retribution for the fact that Martin, the frontman for the British rock band Coldplay, has gone out and found a much younger woman in his life, who is the exact opposite of his former wife.

Many have pointed out that this is a clear sign that Martin was never happy in their relationship and that he felt trapped next to a person who always maintained on keeping up appearances and adhered only to the more pretentious standards.

And it's not like Paltrow herself put on a nun's robes after the split. She found her own personal happiness in the arms of TV producer Brad Falchuk, widely considered to be the creator of the successful franchise Glee. The two were spotted on a romantic weekend together at an exclusive resort in Utah.

This religious battle has the potential to drive a divisive wedge between Gwyneth and Chris, who are still trying to appear as the happy family, spending time together in the Hamptons.
