Scarlett Johansson is again the target of all meanies on the set of “Iron Man 2,” as her character, newcomer Black Widow, was included in the latest promo shot for Entertainment Weekly and Gwyneth Paltrow’s wasn’t. Because of it, the latter actress is feeling replaced and she’s doing everything she can to make Scarlett see it, an X17 Online report reads.

This is, of course, not the first time that rumor gets out in the media that the two have not really been seeing eye to eye ever since they started shooting for the sequel to the highly popular “Iron Man.” Come to think of it, reports of this nature were bound to emerge, since they usually do, regardless of whether they’re based on solid facts or just hearsay and gossip. Still, it is being said now, never has Gwyneth been so upset with the younger star as she is now.

Word in the tabloid media has it that Paltrow, who already has an “Ice Queen” type of reputation in Hollywood and with the media, is extremely upset and offended by the fact that the movie studio has chosen Johansson for the first promo pic for the sequel. Moreover, it is being said, including Johansson in it and not her makes Paltrow feel as if she’s being pushed aside to make room for a younger, much prettier, even if not necessarily more talented star, insiders whisper.

As we were also telling you a while back, Gwyneth and Scarlett did not hit it off from the very start, no matter how hard the former tried to make things work between the two. Allegedly, the younger actress has a more outward attitude and thrives in the spotlight, and this is something that Paltrow can’t stand because she feels it diverts the attention from the film to other aspects that are not even as half as interesting, it was said at the time.

“Gwynny reckons her on-set rival is hogging the limelight and now sparks are flying between the movie’s two female leads. Gwyneth was looking forward to working with Emily Blunt, who was originally in line for the part, but it ended up being Scarlett. Gwyneth had to live with that and she has been very professional, but she and Scarlett haven’t developed a friendship on the shoot, which is almost at the half way point. In fact, it’s quite the opposite.” unnamed sources were telling the media back in May.
