It could very well be just a clever ploy to increase traffic to her own lifestyle website, but Gwyneth Paltrow knows how to milk the media for attention and give that storm cloud a silver lining. Knowing that fans were hungry for some updates from the couple, she decided to casually drop a few lines at the end of a post.

Ever since Paltrow and her husband of 10 years Chris Martin announced their were “consciously uncoupling” (also on her website), Goop has received a lot of attention. People kept coming there are refreshing the pages, just to see if Gwyneth has something to say.

Well, she does. Days after speculation ran rife about how Gwyn decided to come clean from fears her infidelities would be exposed, how Martin was left in shambles after the split and how they had been on the rocks for more than a year, Platrow decided that it would be a good idea to thank fans for their support.

In a post called “One bird, Three Meals,” with a reference to the old saying “kill two birds with one stone,” Gwyneth explains how women from the old days would use every bit of scrap food left and threw away nothing.

“Our moms were raised by depression-era ladies who used a single tea bag for two cups of tea and never met a leftover they didn’t eat. This issue of three delicious chicken recipes is in honor of our grandmothers, who taught us the good old-fashioned art of not wasting a scrap,” the post reads.

At the end of the short quip about food, Gwyneth drops a considerate thank you to all those that stood by her during the split and also names Chris Martin in there, signing with his initials “P.S. CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many.”

Though it has very little to do with her split, Gwyn's short lines about food grabbed the attention of the press and gave Goop a little bit more traffic after, on Tuesday, the site crashed from all the people wanting to read her breakup announcement.

So there is at least one good thing coming out of this split, and that is that Goop is rising in the ranks of the internet. It should be mentioned at this point, that Gwyn's lifestyle website was blasted on several occasions as offering unrealistic and much too expensive life advice.

The recipes and beauty treatments presented there seemed more suited for Hollywood A-listers like Gwyneth and her best friend Cameron Diaz, than for the regular folk that struggle to lead a healthy life style while still trying to make ends meet.
