Actress Gwyneth Paltrow came to the New York premiere of her latest movie, "Proof", with the baby monitor in her bag.

Paltrow, who has a 1,3-year old baby daughter with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, declared to the journalists that she was feeling so anxious about leaving her daughter at home that she took the baby monitor in her bag so she could feel close to her. "I've got my baby monitor in my bag."

Talking about the movie, the actress said: "It was amazing because I felt so well prepared. I had rehearsed the play so many times, and thought about it, and dream about it and studied the script, and then done the show eight times a week for a number of weeks.

By the time I went to do the film, I just felt so incredibly well prepared and it was a fantastic experience."

Paltrow plays Catherine, the daughter of a brilliant but mentally disturbed mathematician, recently deceased, who tries to come to grips with her possible inheritance: his insanity.

Complicating matters are one of her father's ex-students who wants to search through his papers and her estranged sister who shows up to help settle his affairs.
