Molded on that of the all-time iconic blonde Marilyn Monroe, Gwen Stefani’s look is time-defying and beautiful as well.
Always with impeccable makeup and hairdo, and excellent styling, it’s clear that this is one star who doesn’t just roll out of bed and got out to run errands.
That’s true, Gwen says for the magazine: she always makes quite an effort to look good even if she knows for a fact she won’t be leaving the house the entire day.
That also includes applying her makeup first thing in the morning.
“The makeup goes on every day, even if I’m not going anywhere,” she says.
As for her peroxide hairdo, Gwen couldn’t think of herself as anything else than a blonde – and she knows what she’s saying because she once tried to go red.
“My hair color is L’Oréal, but I won’t reveal the number. And I do my roots as often as Marilyn Monroe did hers. I’m serious. I found out,” the star explains for the magazine.
“Right after we came home from the first No Doubt tour I felt like I might get recognized, so I colored my hair red. And I hated it,” Gwen says of her one-time attempt at a different hair color than blonde.
This is not the first time that Stefani speaks about her rather out of the ordinary beauty habits, since most women would find inconvenient putting on makeup first thing in the morning.
A while back, she said she didn’t feel “energized” until she had a full face on, which is why she always made sure she put on makeup right after waking up in the morning.
She also said she was doing it for her husband Gavin.
