Wind It Up... no more in about five years or so! Gwen Stefani is just one of those singers who can really be given as example when it comes to illustrating how someone can make it big in life by exploring more than one direction. In Gwen's case, she has it almost all: she was in a successful band, she did some acting, too, she went solo and turned out to be even a bigger hit than with No Doubt, got married, had a baby, launched a clothing line that is doing reasonably well and is now preparing to start working on a fragrance. Being such a little busy bee that Gwen is, some might wonder how come she can balance family life with such a hectic career in such a way. Well, the answer to that comes straight from her, and it's not going to be at all nice: she can balance them for now, but she won't be doing it anymore in five years' time. Stefani, who is married to rocker Gavin Rosdale and with whom she has an infant child, Kingston, said in a recent interview that she is thoroughly considering a retirement from music when her son will be old enough to go to school. 'In five years Kingston will be in school, and in five years I'll be in my 40s. So I'm doing what I can now. If we were at home I'd be playing with him.', Gwen said during a promotional interview for her second solo album. And, speaking of which, the singer still insists that the 'Sweet Escape' material was not something planned and that is why she sometimes finds it hard to talk about it. 'I never intended to do another solo record. It's, like, kind of embarrassing talking about it. But I had a couple of amazing leftover tracks from the last one, but I really wanted to have a baby. Now I have both. I'm just going with the flow.', Gwen explained.
