Well, technically, he was entitled to half of them

Breakups can be quite tough, and most people understandably have a hard time going through such an experience. Especially when it comes to dividing shared property.

One man in Germany, however, came up with a positively genius plan to make sure he and his former girlfriend both got what was rightfully theirs when they split up.

The man sawed, cut and chopped all of his and his ex's shared belongings. Nothing escaped, not even their car. Check out the photo gallery below to see for yourselves.

As angry as he probably was when he reached for the power tools and got busy hacking and whacking, the man did a wonderful job splitting the relationship memorabilia.

The TV, the iPhone 5, the Apple laptop, the chair, the car, the sofa, the teddy bear, the bicycle and all the other things were parted in perfectly symmetrical halves.

He even made a video of him destroying them and posted it on YouTube for his lost love Laura to see and marvel over. Then, he put his half of the goods for sale on eBay.

Most of the half-items are for sale for just €1 ($1.12). If you want the man's half of the Apple laptop, however, you'll have to fork €26 ($29). A reasonable price, some might say.

“Thank you for 12 ‘beautiful’ years Laura! You've really earned half,” he wrote in a message accompanying his video. Well, Laura must be feeling really special right about now.
