A man by the name Steven Gove might just be the star of the wackiest biking story ever. Long story short, this guy recently went for a joyride while stuck in a windshield, and, quite miraculously, lived to tell the tale.

Word has it that Steven Gove was on his way home from work when he had one very close encounter with a car, and ended up plunging head first inside the vehicle.

The car was not a convertible so, yes, the man's body worked its way into the automobile through the windshield.

Apparently, his legs alone remained outside the car, and odds are they weren't too happy about being the only body parts left to enjoy the breeze.

According to KRMG, Steve did not suffer any major injuries, and remained conscious.

What's interesting is that this little piece of information is not in any way the oddest detail of the story.

On the contrary, the fact that the driver failed to realize that he was carrying one extra passenger is what is bound to make people's eyebrows reach for the stars.

The same source tells us that, as far as Steve could tell, the car's driver had enjoyed one too many sips of alcoholic beverages before getting behind the wheel.

Hence his not realizing that a man had plunged through the windshield and had remained stuck there.

The driver only figured out that something was off and noticed the cyclist when he got home and parked his car.

At that time, he asked Steve what he was doing inside his car, and, after realizing what had happened, he started mumbling something about how he was sure to go to jail for this one.

Still, he did not help the cyclist free himself, and Steve had to pull himself out of the windscreen. “I righted myself and got out,” he recollects.

A passerby who witnessed the accident called in the police, and the latter took Steve to a nearby hospital. Doctors treated his bruises and cuts, and also pulled some bits and pieces of glass from his eyes, but say that the cyclist did not suffer any life-threatening injuries.

The driver, whose name has not yet been made public, was taken into custody, and most likely has DUI, hit and run, and failure to render air charges coming his way.
