Those present were encouraged to eat still-warm guts from the inside of the animal

This has to be the most outrageous piece of news I'll ever be writing in my life. I'm careful so that my hands don't tremble when writing about this. At the UK launch party of God of War II for the PS2, Sony thought to give an extra appetizer to the ones present by encouraging them to eat offal from a decapitated goat inside. Daily Mail posts: "Guests at the event were even invited to reach inside the goat's still-warm carcass to eat offal from its stomach."

JeEEesuas Christ! What was Sony thinking? It's a video game for crying out loud! What, did they want to give people a taste of what ancient Greece soldiers ate? Even then people were better mannered, I'm sure.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare arrived at the scene, declaring the ritual "outrageous" and that the animal's death had been used "to sell a few computer games." Well, not that I don't agree but millions die every day, so it has nothing to do with the animal's feelings. Daily Mail clearly says that the animal had been slaughtered before its lifeless arrival at the party. What are they, trying to protect the species' image? A spokesman of the Fund for Animal Welfare said: "We are always opposed to any senseless killing of an animal and this sounds like a gruesome death. We condemn Sony's actions. It is stupid and completely unjustified."

It's not pointed out anywhere whether the animal had been killed specifically for the celebration or not. However, Sony stealing one from the slaughterhouse for the Fund for Animal Warfare not to blame the killing on them, doesn't sound right either.

Also, the site reports that topless girls loosened up the atmosphere by dipping grapes into guests' mouths, while a male model portraying Kratos, the game's warrior hero, handed out garlands. Think that Sony went a little over the line with this one? If so, post your comments below and in the meantime, check out the full story, with everyone's opinions on this dreadful event. It's worth it!
