Finally Activision has officially released the full list of tracks to be featured in the upcoming Guitar Hero World Tour.

It's nice to see that they managed to create a balanced play list that includes classic guitar players like Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac and Creedence Clearwater Revival while also offering new acts like Mars Volta, At the Drive-In and Modest Mouse or Tool. There are very cool tracks which can be played, like Pull Me Under from Dream Theater or Mister Crowley from Ozzy Osbourne.

The game represents a progression for the Guitar Hero franchise because it will allow players to use two guitars and a drum set while also providing an option for those interested to record their own songs and then share them online.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is set to launch on October 26 and until then, you can check out the full list of the 86 tracks that you will be able to play in the game. Be warned, it might take a while to read it all:
