Despite smashing records and becoming the best-selling game of all time in North America, Activision's Call of Duty: Black Ops isn't the highest-grossing title of all time, instead being overtaken by another Activision release, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

The NPD Group (via 1Up) has just released a very special chart, which chronicles the best-selling games of all time, specifically from 1995 until now, without factoring in inflation or digital sales.

As such, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has grossed $830.9 million since its original release back in October of 2007.

Call of Duty: Black Ops is close on its tail, reaching a whopping $787.4 million in sales since its launch half a year ago, in November of 2010.

Completing the top three is Wii Fit, which managed an equally impressive $736.6 million in sales since it was released back in 2007, in Japan, and 2008 in North America and Europe.

Call of Duty: Black Ops should be congratulated, however, as it is the only $60 game in the top three, because the other two were sold with more expensive peripherals, which resulted in more earnings.

The rest of the top ten is dominated by Activision and Nintendo titles, with the North American company having 5 titles while the Japanese one has 4. The other title in the top ten comes from Harmonix, in the form of Rock Band.

Check out the top ten highest-grossing games of all time below.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock -- $830.9 million Call of Duty: Black Ops -- $787.4 milion Wii Fit -- $736.6 million Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 -- $713.6 million Rock Band -- $670.7 million Wii Play (bundled with Wii remote) Guitar Hero World Tour Wii Fit Plus Mario Kart Wii (with wheel) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

The lack of digital sales data rules out other big games like World of Warcraft and minimizes the success of Guitar Hero III, as the game received a lot of extra songs since it was released, all selling quite a lot of copies.
