Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass, the latest mobile iteration of the widely popular Guitar Hero game series, is now available across the US, for all the fans of "mobile rocking".

Released by Hands-On Mobile in collaboration with Activision Publishing, Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass can offer more than 25 hours of continuous gameplay. Playing as Judy Nails or Axel Steel, you will have to go to rehearsals, play gigs, record demo tapes, promote your music in the media (radio, TV etc.), sign record deals and prepare press interviews. After you achieve several career goals, new guitars will be available and you can buy them if you have enough in-game money.

Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass also has an online gameplay mode that offers new music and guitars as well as the chance to join various contests.

To get Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass, you must send a text message with the word "STAGE" to 46966. The price of the game will vary depending of the mobile operator - I don't think it's a high one anyway.

No word yet on whether the new Guitar Hero III: Backstage Pass will be released in other countries except the US, but I'm sure lots of European and Asian gamers do hope this happens.
