Guitar Hero II Tracklist Announced

Harmonix Music System, Guitar Hero II's developer, has announced that final tracklist for the upcoming music video game. The game will be released on PS2 and Xbox 360 games console during the course of next month.

The tracklist is focused more on heavy-metal and rock bands as big metal and rock bands like Megadeth, Antrax, Jane's Addiction, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Guns N' Roses, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Foo Fighter, Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains, Van Halen, Nirvana, Kiss and Motley Crue will be part of the games' setlist.

As impressive as the tracklist may sound, according to a recent rumor, the Guitar Hero sequel will have its guitar controller linked to the games console through a wire. The Gibson 8 controller replica presented in a recent gaming event in Spain, disappointed fans as it connected to the Xbox 360 through a wire. So, no rocking around your mom while she's making dinner. Maybe there is still some hope as RedOctane spokesperson did not confirm that this will be the final configuration for the controller.

RedOctane promoted the new game by organizing a "Be A Guitar Hero" competition. The winning band is said to have their song featured in Guitar Hero II as a bonus track. So get yourself out of that garage and go compete!
