Publisher Activision has announced that it has just delivered a new song pack for its musical simulation video game Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, including some of the biggest names in the world of rock, some of them returning to the series and others appearing for the first time.

All the songs can be downloaded from the PlayStation Network, the Xbox Live Marketplace and the Nintendo Store.

Players who are interested will have to pay 1440 Microsoft Points or 17.99 dollars.

The highlight of the just released song pack is the all new song from Children of Bodom, the Finish heavy metal band, called “Was It Worth It”.

Fans of the band will also get access to two other tracks, “Living Dead Beat,” taken from “Are You Dead Yet?” their fifth studio album, and “Blooddrunk,” from the album with the same name.

Marilyn Manson, a multiple Grammy award nominee, is also present on the February track pack for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, with three songs: “Get Your Gunn,” the highly successful first official single from the debut album of the band, “Tourniquet” off their second full length studio record, called “Antichrist Superstar” and “Coma White” from “Mechanical Animals.”

Firewind are making their debut in Warriors of Rock with “World on Fire” and rock fans will also be able to enjoy three tracks from Black Label Society: “Black Sunday,” “Crazy Horse” and “Parade Of The Dead,” all of them appearing on the eighth studio album named “Order of the Black.”

Although February, with Valentine's Day coming up, would have been a good moment to launch some rock-based ballads, Activision is bucking the trend and showing a pure rock focus for its latest music game.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, like its rival from Harmonix Rock Band 3, has failed to sell as much as previous games in the same series.
