Music games are true moneymakers for companies involved in either developing or publishing them all around the world. Not only do sales of various iterations reach big milestones but also the peripherals and the DLC tracks delivered every week generate more money for companies like Harmonix or Activision.

Now, as Guitar Hero 5 has been announced by big gaming corporation Activision, and dated just before the release of Harmonix's The Beatles: Rock Band title, the company has decided to unveil the bands that would be bringing their songs to this new iteration of the very successful Guitar Hero franchise.

The lineup is huge, to say the least, as the bands focus on genres from hard rock to indie, metal and anything in between. All you need to do is wait until September 1 and practice your plastic instruments skills in order to play songs from all of these bands:

definitely metal! i have researched and went through countless of posts of people wanting this song and that, and for the record..it seems people love to rock out with metal the most, forget johnny cash and them, you cant really rock out to them,or atleast have the feel to headbang, everyone loves that..and what i think you should stick with living dead beat by children of bodom,i can headbang with that everyday and never get tired of it,but stevie wander and all those oldie people..you get bored after awhile, nothing exciting about them, and so guitar hero 5 will be forgotten after a few months, because people love the thrill of craziness! like through the fire and flames, have you seen how many people went on about that song being extremely hard and easy to headbang with? yea and its still going on until today,so what i think you should put in guitar hero 5 is ALOT of metal bands, such as metallica, megadeth, bullet for my valentine, slayer, machine head, iron maiden, atreyu, the devil wears prada, ect ect!!! you would definitely have more sells,i gaurantee it!
