Activision is one of the biggest companies in the video game industry, owning a considerable amount of its profits to big selling series like Call of Duty or Tony Hawk, but most importantly to the Guitar Hero music franchise.

The video game series has given the large corporation a huge amount of money, and will continue to do so for a very long time, as the company is bent on squeezing every bit of profit from the franchise by releasing more and more titles with its name.

We've already seen Activision detail the upcoming releases in the form of Guitar Hero 5, DJ Hero and Band Hero, but now it has decided to further detail the next big release in the series, which is Guitar Hero 5.

Scheduled to arrive this fall, GH 5 aims at providing its players with the most varied amount of customization options ever released in a music game, by letting them choose the make-up of their band based on which instruments will be played. Also, new gameplay modes in the form of Party Play and RockFest will emphasize the fun and competitive gameplay in order to make the whole experience much more interesting.

Even though it will include a tracklist of songs from 85 bands, like The White Stripes, Rolling Stones or Santana, the game will also allow for DLC tracks already downloaded by the users for Guitar Hero: World Tour to be played in this new release, making it that much more attractive for gamers.

“Guitar Hero is the music platform for today because it celebrates the social nature of music and brings fans closer to the music and artists they love while allowing them to share and discover music with their friends, family and online communities,” said Dan Rosensweig, president and chief executive officer of Guitar Hero.

Overall, Guitar Hero 5 is looking like a must-have title for any music game fan out there, as it promises to deliver a lot of interesting things and to provide the best GH experience so far. Look forward to more details soon.
