If you are a fan of the music video game Guitar Hero II, you probably know that it will also come out on the Xbox 360. So far, only
PlayStation 2 owners were able to enjoy this game, and quite a lot tried it since its November 2006 release.
The
Xbox 360
version of the game will have some extra content as in addition to the downloadable content via Xbox Live, new songs will be included on the retail disc. 1up.com has the complete list of the new tracks, and it goes a little something like this:
Opening Licks: The Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Amp Warmers: Pearl Jam - Life Wasted
String Snappers: Alice Cooper - Billion Dollar Babies
Thrash and Burn: Deep Purple - Hush
Return of the Shred: Rick Derringer - Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo
Relentless Rifts: My Chemical Romance - Dead
Furious Fretwork: Iron Maiden - Trooper
A little while ago, you may remember that there were some disputes between the makers of Guitar Hero 2, Red Octane, and peripherals manufacturers Ant Commandos. Red Octane filed a lawsuit against Ant Commandos claiming rights infringement on the Gibson controller. And Commandos stroke back and counter sued Octane claiming that the Gibson controller was using technology patented by them.
Now, according to GameSpot, both sides have reached an agreement. No details regarding this agreement were revealed, but information as regarding the judge dismissing the case leaked. This means that Ant Commando guitars will continue to be sold and that Red Octane will not be bothered anymore. Everybody is happy, cash flowing.
