Not unlike the Everquest II implementation, Guild Wars recently got around at introducing player titles. It all happened with the release of the Factions expansion pack and everybody has been hunting fame and glory ever since. For what is it in the name? Wars have been forged on such technicalities and Shakespeare knows better. So each character may have multiple titles unlocked, yet only one will be displayed, depending on your choice. Some titles are indeed account bound and can be use with all characters subsequently created, but the best ones are still character related as follows:


Account related titles

All your present and future characters, including PvP-only avatars, benefit from the account related titles. In addition, all features acquired through your individual characters� progress will count towards these titles.

Hero - Rank 1 (25 fame)
Fierce Hero - Rank 2 (75 fame)
Mighty Hero - Rank 3 (180 fame)
Deadly Hero - Rank 4 (360 fame)
Terrifying Hero - Rank 5 (600 fame)
Conquering Hero - Rank 6 (1,000 fame)
Subjugating Hero - Rank 7 (1,680 fame)
Vanquishing Hero - Rank 8 (2,800 fame)
Renowned Hero - Rank 9 (4,665 fame)
Illustrious Hero - Rank 10 (7,750 fame)
Eminent Hero - Rank 11 (12,960 fame)
Kings Hero - Rank 12 (21,600 fame)
Emperors Hero - Rank 13 (36,000 fame)
Champion - Win 50 high rated GvG matches on your account (Guilds involved must have 1500+ rating to count towards the title)
Gladiator - 25 winning streaks in either RA or TA
Fierce Gladiator - 50 winning streaks in either RA or TA
Elite Gladiator - 100 winning streaks in either RA or TA


Character related titles

These titles need to be acquired with each character in particular. Since they are harder to unlock, they bring the best social standing in terms of Guild Wars ego measuring. If your character gets deleted, the title will not be passed on to any of your remaining avatars, so be sure to keep them safe.

Drunkard - 1000 minutes spent drunk
Incorrigible Ale-Hound - 10000 minutes spent drunk
Treasure Hunter - Opened 100 chests
Adept Treasure Hunter - Opened 250 chests
Advanced Treasure Hunter - Opened 550 chests
Expert Treasure Hunter - Opened 1200 chests
Survivor - 140,600 experience points gained without dying
Indomitable Survivor - 587,500 experience points gained without dying
Legendary Survivor - 1,337,500 experience points gained without dying
Friend of the Kurzicks - Transferred 250,000 Kurzick faction
Ally of the Kurzicks - Transferred 550,000 Kurzick faction
Friend of the Luxons - Transferred 250,000 Luxon faction
Ally of the Luxons - Transferred 550,000 Luxon faction
Explorer � 60% Tyria or Cantha percentage explored
Pathfinder � 70% Tyria or Cantha percentage explored
Trailblazeer � 80% Tyria or Cantha percentage explored
Cartographer � 90% Tyria or Cantha percentage explored
