Thanks to the separate PvP-only character setup, Guild Wars became a trend starter in the past couple of months when it comes to free game previews. It's the best place where curious players can enjoy the game head to head with battle hardened veterans and the success of similar past events that drove NCsoft and ArenaNet to further pursue the idea. A recent announcement on the official site lets us know about another world preview event
for Guild wars Nightfall, the next expansion pack for the franchise. The weekend event will be starting September 22 at 07:01pm GMT and last until September 25 at 6:59am GMT.
A Guild Wars install is all that's required of the player, since the preview is free for anyone to enjoy. You will be able to create characters using any of the currently available six professions, as well as the two brand new Nightfall additions, The Dervish and the Paragon. Unlike the previous event that took place roughly one month ago, avatars will be able to try out most of the new Nightfall specific skills and abilities. To this end, adventurers can now roam freely throughout the entire Istani province, taking a glimpse at what the new realm Elona has to offer. Nightfall missions can be undertaken while leveling up through the world and in-game cinematics are also available for your viewing pleasure. The PvP fans can enjoy two fresh arena maps and battle it out for Balthazar faction increase in Churranu Island and the Sunspear Arena.
The publisher is expecting the Guild Wars Nightfall World Preview Event to exceed prior Guild Wars beta records in terms of attendance, thus ArenaNet is preparing to handle the massive flux of participants on its servers. Guild Wars Nightfall will be available in stores worldwide on 27 October 2006.
