The team is not yet willing to offer information on it

The development team at ArenaNet in charge of the MMO Guild Wars 2 confirms that it has plans to create an expansion for the game, although it’s not yet clear when it might launch or exactly what content it will add.

DualShockers cites information offered during the earnings call with investors for NCsoft, when Nah Seong Chan, managing director at the company, mentioned the new content for Guild Wars 2.

As early as March, the team claimed that they were focusing on delivering more live events for their MMO rather than working on a bigger expansion.

Guild Wars 2 does not charge a monthly subscription and the company only makes money from retail sales of its base game and expansions and from items sold in the game.

The MMO has performed better than developers were expecting after its August 2012 launch.
