Gamers will have to pay gems to access this feature

Developer ArenaNet has announced that players of the upcoming Guild Wars 2 MMO will be able to transfer their account and characters to a new home world once every seven days, as long as they are ready to pay the 1,800 gems required.

The transfer will move all the existing characters linked to an account and will also mean that the player represents his new home in the world versus world battles that Guild Wars 2 includes.

The ArenaNet video game also includes a new “guest” mechanics, which allows gamers to play with their friends who are on different home worlds but the feature will have limitations, the main one being that no world versus world matches will be available.

The upcoming beta weekend for Guild Wars 2 will include home transfers for those who are interested and all those taking part will include 2,000 gems in order to allow them to take advantage of it.

Guesting will not be included.
