Another survival horror experience is in development

One of the problems Sony is currently facing is that it seems to have a smaller number of exclusive titles for the PlayStation 4 than Microsoft has for the Xbox One, but the company is apparently working on fixing this issue and plans to manage to solve it in 2016.

Guerrilla Games is one of the studios that have always worked hard to create experiences that show off the capabilities of the hardware on which they arrive, and it seems that a new title created by them might be officially revealed relatively soon.

In a thread on NeoGAF, a source that has often offered information from inside the industry about unrevealed games says the studio is currently working on a new title codenamed Horizon, with a number of prototypes already being tested with small audiences.

Apparently, the Guerrilla Games experience is set to be introduced in 2016 and it is not connected to any of the big franchises on which the company has worked before.

Sony is also pushing its Bend studio to create a new PlayStation 4 title, apparently a survival horror experience which will not be close to Resident Evil but to the very successful The Last of Us from Naughty Dog.

There are no details about its story, about its mechanics, or about the potential launch date.

Sony has not officially commented on any of the rumors so far.

The PlayStation 4 might need reinforcements soon

The Sony home console has not managed to outsell the Xbox One from Microsoft for the month of April in the United States, although it continues to hold the overall lead.

In the coming months, the two devices will seek to position themselves as well as possible for the big fall launch season and the Christmas shopping period.

Microsoft is betting that the launch of Halo 5: Guardians, a new Tomb Raider title and a new Forza will manage to attract gamers to its device.

Sony, on the other hand, is saying that the PlayStation 4 is the better overall device and that it does not need exclusive launches to keep gamers interested.

A new title from Guerrilla Games, even if set for release during the spring of 2016, might be enough to attract a number of new users to the platform.
