French stunt-driver Guerlain Chicherit has achieved the first ever 360-degree backflip in a vehicle. No crowds were present the first time he tried the stunt, which took him 75 ft (22.9 m) into the air, during what looked like an extremely dangerous maneuver.

Fortunately, the flip was successful for the 34-year-old stuntman and champion rally driver. Daily Mail details that it took a speed of 60kmph (37mph) for him to properly launch the vehicle off the 25 ft (7.6 m) high ramp and send it into a loop.

Chicherit prepared for four years for his backflip, so please do not try this in your backyard. The driver performed the stunt in the Tignes resort, located in the French Alps. He used a customized Mini Countryman during the event sponsored by Monster energy drink.

“I had to arrive at 60 kph (37 mph) and be full throttle in the kicker to get the right rotation.

“In the jump, I knew the balance of the car was good and it took me maybe 20 seconds to realize I had landed on my wheels,” he describes.
