14 DAY TRIAL // Independent developer DrinkBox Studios announces that its action platformer Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition will arrive on Steam on August 21.
The enhanced edition of the game will come with a discount for those who already own the base title and will include support for a costume shop through Steam Workshop, as well as Trading Cards. The developers even say something regarding some future updates.
Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition includes all released downloadable content for Guacamelee, as well as new areas, a besieged fishing town and a volcano, a new boss, some new enemies, and new abilities to take them down with.
The lucha libre-themed action platformer has been universally praised for its refreshing gameplay and solid visuals, and features Juan, a lowly agave farmer who, by some mysterious twist of fate, returns to the world of the living and becomes a powerful luchador, embarking on a quest to rid the world of evil.
The platformer is currently available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita platforms, as well as on the Nintendo Wii U, the Xbox 360, the Xbox One, Linux, Mac, and PC.
Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition will launch tomorrow, August 21, with a 10 percent discount for newcomers and with a 66 percent off the top for gamers who already own Guacamelee Gold Edition on Steam.
