Developer Drinkbox has announced that Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition will arrive on the PlayStation 4 on July 1 and on the Xbox 360, Xbox One and Nintendo Wii U platforms on July 2.

Guacamelee puts you in the shoes of Juan Aguacate, a lowly agave farmer in love with El Presidente's daughter, his childhood friend. When the evil Carlos Calaca attacks the village and kidnaps her, you return from the land of the dead and become a powerful and mysterious luchador, ready to set things right in the world of the living.

Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship Edition is the expanded version of the popular action platformer, that includes a bunch of new stuff in addition to all the downloadable content from the original PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions.

The reveal was made over Drinkbox Studios' Twitter, where the company also shared the image below, foreshadowing the things to come.

The game will be available for $15 / €15 and will ship with two whole new areas, a fiery Volcano full of hazards and the Canal of Flowers, where players will have to fight in order to save a fishing village. The game also comes with a new and very mean boss, and some new abilities and new enemies to use them on.
