Having a cat receive a “Lifetime Achievement Award” symbolizes just how much YouTube and memes are influencing our lives.

Tardar Sauce, everyone's favorite unhappy feline, who has become an internet celebrity using moniker “Grumpy Cat,” has been granted the award this year.

Earlier this year, Grumpy Cat has scored an endorsement deal with Nestle Purina to promote their new Friskies products.

The company is also behind “The Friskies,” an award ceremony celebrating cats in the media, particularly cats featured in viral videos.

Tardar's owner, Tabatha Bundesen of Phoenix, walked away with a gold-plated cat-shaped statue. Her pet's fame has also brought her a movie deal and a New York Times bestseller.

The one-year-old feline has been honored for “doing the most to help cats take over the Internet,” Mirror writes.
