The free Growl application used by tens of thousands of Mac users out there, Growl, has received a major update that adds a cool new feature allowing users to log their notifications, should they miss them while away from their computer.

Described as the ultimate notification system for the Mac, Growl is “the easiest way to know what is going on with other applications while you are working on something else,” according to the people at The Growl Project.

The utility is now obtainable from the Mac App Store for $1.99, or €1.59 in Europe, and it lets you check out a new notification history “so you can see what has been going on.” The free 1.2 version is still available. A complete list of features is available behind the download link.
