Grooveshark hasn't had it easy for the past year or so. With several lawsuits against it, nobody wants to have anything to do with it, so its apps got pulled from the App Store and the Google Play Store.

But now, more than a year later, the Grooveshark Android app is back in the Play store, with not a word from Google.

Grooveshark on the other hand is delighted. "After working closely with Google to get rogue apps removed, we're delighted that the official Grooveshark app has been reinstated," it said in a statement.

"We look forward to continuing to build a relationship with Android and leverage this fantastic platform for our partners."

So, if you're a Grooveshark fan or have no alternative in your area, you can give the app a spin on your phone or tablet. Note though that, while the web service is free, you need a subscription to use the mobile app.
