Werner Lemberg has announced a couple of days ago, on December 30, 2012, that the Groff 1.22.1 software is available for download, featuring various improvements and bug fixes.

Groff, the GNU implementation of Troff, is a document formatting system, which reads mixed plain text and produces formatted output.

Groff 1.22.1 includes implementations of troff, eqn, pic, tbl, refer, grn, -man, -mom, -mdoc and -ms macros.

Drivers for Canon CAPSL printers, HP LaserJet 4 printers, TeX dvi format, PDF, PostScript, typewriter-like devices, XHTML and HTML formats were also added in this release of Groff.

Last but not least, Groff 1.22.1 includes a modified version of the Berkeley -me macros, an implementation of the -mm macros, and the enhanced version gxditview of the X11 xditview previewer.
