Typically found in the forests of North America, grizzly bears are some of the most amazing predators presently inhabiting our planet.

This short video presents us with an insight into these massive animals’ hunting behavior, showing how their sense of smell is what helps them locate their prey with maximum accuracy, regardless of the environmental conditions in which they are forced to go hunting.

Although usually solitary animals, grizzly bears seemingly tolerate the presence of others of their kind during salmon season, when several of these animals congregate along river banks to feed on this fish species.

Apparently, the name “grizzly bears” was given to this species after biologists noticed that some of hairs on their back are gray, meaning that their fur is “grizzled” on this portion of their body.
