A 24-year-old man from Pennsylvania has suffered a gruesome grizzly bear attack in southwestern Montana, on Sunday, November 4.

According to the Provo Daily Herald Extra, Gallatin County officials have yet to release the young victim's name. Officials have announced that the mauling occurred in an enclosure at the Animals of Montana facility, a wildlife casting agency located north of Bozeman, Gallatin County.

The agency breeds grizzly bears in captivity, and provides wild animals photo shoots, movies and television. The victim was attacked while cleaning the bear's enclosure. He suffered fatal injuries, and his body could only be recovered after attendants put down the animal.

There were no witnesses to the tragic event, but the sheriff's office and Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks officials have launched investigations into the incident.

"It's obviously a tragic situation, and I don't think we'll ever know exactly what happened," Chuck Watson, legal representative for Animals of Montana, stated.
