Codemasters, the developers of the upcoming Grid Autosport, has just posted a new location blog, this time detailing the San Francisco track and providing some neat pictures for the fans to ogle.

"The street-based circuit makes for some great pack racing, with overtakes having to be timed to perfection or the risk of running out of space and into a wall becomes all too real," Ben Walke explains.

"Racing uphill (and then down again) adds a whole new element to the racing experience and it often comes down to a battle between the brave and the sensible," he continues.

San Francisco has a certain unique quality to it that not many real-world cities have, challenging players with decisions such as going flat out downhill but risking to land their car spinning out of control or opting for the safe route but risking a brave opponent pulling off the stunt.

Grid Autosport offers a more hardcore racing experience, which promises better handling, a ton of different cars to choose from, as well as allowing its players to make different choices in the single-player campaign as well as in multiplayer challenges.

Grid Autosport, the upcoming installment in the prestigious racing series, is currently scheduled to land on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms on June 27.
