Grid 2, the upcoming racing game from Codemasters, has a special dynamic AI system that will change its strategy depending on the actions of the player, in order to keep things interesting.

Grid 2 is set to appear in May, and developer Codemasters has recently showcased all the details about the game's multiplayer modes and features.

Now, the studio has talked with GamingBolt about the game's single-player and how the AI-controlled cars will change their strategies depending on the actions of the player.

According to producer Ian Smith, the AI drivers, when pushed outside their comfort zone, will begin to behave differently.

"Conservative drivers might be driven to make contact with you to secure a podium if you put them in a tight spot," he said.

Grid 2 is set to introduce quite a few new mechanics to the racing genre, so expect to hear more as we get closer to its release on May 28, in North America, and May 31, in Europe, for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
