Gresso, the well-known manufacturer of luxury mobile phones, has recently announced its new project called iPhone4 Black Diamonds for Lady.

In truth, the handset is a modified Apple iPhone 4 crammed inside a case made of 200-year-old African Blackwood combined with black and white diamonds, as well as platinum and 18K rose gold.

The phone's back panel is encrusted with 6 carat black diamonds, 13 carat white diamonds, as well as 18 carat rose gold and platinum.

Both edges are made of platinum and encrusted with black diamonds as well. The single button under the front display is decorated with 2 carat black diamonds, which are placed inside a thin frame made of white diamonds and rose gold.

According to the manufacturer, the 200-year old African Blackwood has been treated with Gresso's patented technology which improves its strength and durability. In addition, each iPhone 4 Black Diamonds for Lady device is unique thanks to the wood's special pattern.

Furthermore, Gresso's handset has a 3.5-inch TFT, capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors support and 640 x 960 pixels resolution.

The phone comes with only 512 Mb of internal memory, but fortunately it embeds a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 16 GB). The average 5-megapixel camera features LED flash and autofocus.

The phone's specs sheet also mentions that users will be able to view Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel documents, but the possibility to create new documents remains a mystery.

Gresso's iPhone 4 is powered by a Li-Ion standard battery which was rated for up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 14 hours of talk time.

No information about its price or availability, but Gresso's iPhone 4 Black Diamond model, which is positioned a little bit lower in the luxury class can be ordered for $10k, which means the Lady version should be around $15k.
